4 killed as truck plunges into Bhotekoshi
Feb 16, 2018-Four persons died when a truck they were travelling in plunged in Bhotekoshi River at Chyaksa in Sindhupalchok district along the Kodari Highway on Friday.
The deceased have been identified as truck driver Shekhar Adhikari, Subba Adhikari, Kamal Adhikari and Kamal Majhi.
Police said that they died on the spot.
Assistant driver Subash Timilsena of Tadbisauni, Bahrabise Municipality, is still missing.
“A mobile phone belonging to Timilsena was found from the truck, but his whereabouts is still unaccounted for,” police Inspector Pancha Kumar Bakhu said, adding, “We are looking into the incident.”
The incident occurred when the truck (Ba 4 Kha 2812) heading towards Bahrabise from China border fell some 50 metres down the road into the Bhotekoshi River.
