Nepali man wanted in Malaysia for murder of Indonesian woman


Mar 18, 2018-Malaysian Police are searching for a Nepali youth in connection with a murder of an Indonesian woman in Malaysia.

According to local media, the Malaysian Police are on the hunt for Sadeep Gurung, 27, a worker at a local factory in Bayan Lepas, and is said to be on the run following the murder of Santi Restauli Simbolon, 25, a local woman.

The deceased Santi, allegedly the lover of Gurung, was found dead at the latter’s apartment in Air Itam in Penang. Santi’s dead body was found inside a cupboard that was locked in the Green Garden Apartment where Gurung was staying. The police have suspected that Santi might have been dead for the past three days.

As per the reports, Malaysian police suspect that Gurung killed his 25-year-old Indonesian girlfriend because he believed she had cheated on him.

Gurung’s flat mates, who shared the apartment, informed the police after they got foul smell from Gurung’s room on Thursday at 10pm. As per the reports, the police have detained Gurung’s friends for further investigation into the matter.

Meanwhile, the Penang Police have made public an image of Gurung urging anyone who sees him to contact the police immediately.
