UML’s Sanu Kumar Shrestha elected unopposed as Speaker of Province 3

Feb 10, 2018-CPN-UML leader Sanu Kumar Shrestha has been elected unopposed as the Speaker of Province 3.

Shrestha was the only candidate to file nomination for the post. The time for filing the nomination was set from 10 am to 1pm, Saturday.

The Parliament meeting of the Province has been summoned for 3 pm today. Shrestha was elected from Kathmandu-2 (A) in the recently held election.

CPN (Maoist Centre) Parliamentary Party leader Shalikram Jamarkattel had proposed Shrestha’s nomination while CPN-UML leader Rameshwor Phuyal seconded the proposal.
