Feb 14, 2018-The Standing Committee meeting of CPN-UML is underway at Manbhawan in Lalitpur on Wednesday.
According to a UML leader, the meeting was summoned to endorse the agreement reached between CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Centre) on party unification.
A meeting of Party Unity Coordination Committee of the left alliance formed to discuss the merger of two parties will be held at 3 pm today. It has been learnt that the meeting will formalise the issues of power sharing for party merger.
“A meeting of Party Unity Coordination Committee will be held after the Standing Committee meeting and the agreement reached between top two leaders for party unification will be endorsed,” a source said, adding, “The party will be unified within a few days.”
Earlier on Tuesday, top two leaders of the left alliance finalised the issues of power sharing for party merger.
