Feb 7, 2018-A pedestrian died in a road accident at Chardobato of Madhyapur Thimi municipality-4 early Wednesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Jagat Kumar Shrestha, 66, of Madhyapur Thimi municipality-5.
The accident took place at 5:00 am today when a mini-truck (Ba 2 Ka 8006) heading towards Bhaktapur from Kathmandu hit Shrestha while he was crossing the road.
Deputy Superintendent of Police at Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur, Krishna Prasain, said that Shrestha died in course of treatment at Bhaktapur Hospital.
Police have arrested the mini-truck driver Prem Bahadur Moktan, 29, of Sisakhani of Kavrepalanchowk district, currently living at Jagati of Suryabinayak municipality-8, and impounded the vehicle.
Investigation into the case was underway, added Prasain. RSS
