Dor Mani Poudel elected UML PP leader in Province 3

Feb 9, 2018-CPN-UML leader Dor Mani Poudel has been elected the Parliamentary Party leader of the party from Province 3.

UML leaders Poudel and Asta Laxmi Shakya were on the fray for the PP leader post.

Lawmaker Poudel secured 34 votes against Shakya’s 24 votes in an election held to choose the PP leader at Chyasal, Lalitpur-based Tulsilal Academy on Friday.



PP leader Poudel is close to UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli while leader Shakya filed her nomination from UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal faction.

Poudel and Shakya battled it out after another aspirant for the PP leader post Rajendra Pandey pulled out of the race.
