PM urges people to take part in voting without any fear
Dec 6, 2017-Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has called on voters to confidently take part in the tomorrow's elections of the House of Representatives and State Assemblies, stating the government has guaranteed full security for the polls.
In a press statement issued on the eve of second phase of twin elections, the Prime Minister has urged the entire Nepali citizens and voters to contribute to hold the elections, the greatest celebration of democracy, peacefully and enthusiastically.
He expressed his hope that the longstanding political transition in the country would come to an end following the completion of elections and thereafter the constitution implementation process would take a momentum and the country would find a path towards political stability and economic progress.
"Following the elections, the country will enter a new era," PM Deuba said.
"The government has taken arrangements and preparations made by the Election Commission for holding the elections in an peaceful and impartial atmosphere satisfactorily,” he said, adding, “I am, as the Prime Minister, confident that all the preparations required to be made from the government-level are complete.”
The second and final phase of elections is taking place in 45 districts tomorrow. The first round of elections was held on November 26 in 32 districts. RSS
