B’wood movie at the Indo-Nepal border


Dec 26, 2017-Produced by Yashraj Films and directed by Diwakar Banarjee, the Bollywood movie Sandeep Aur Pinky Farrar is currently being filmed at the Indo-Nepal border area in Uttarakhand, India. And as the cast and crew of the film began frequenting the Nepali side of the border, it has sent excitement rippling among Nepali fans.Sandeep Aur Pinky Farrar features actors Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles, starring as Sandeep and Pinky respectively.

The movie team, along with the lead artists, has been shooting in Pithoragarh and Jhulaghat for the last two weeks. The shooting in the Jhulaghat Bridge, which connects India and Nepal, was completed on December 22. Sandeep Aur Pinky is the first film to have been shot in the western Indo-Nepal border. The outdoor shooting at the banks of the Mahakali River at Jhulaghat, Simalgaire Bazaar at Pithoragarh, Meghana Complex and Chandak were completed within four days. The movie unit has shared that the closing scenes of the movie will be shot at Jhulaghat Bazar, Mahakali River, and a hundred-and-fifty year old suspension bridge over Mahakali.

The locals have been encouraged by this movie shooting. who hope, will contribute to the promotion of the local culture, lifestyle and topography, according the Nara Bahadur Chand, the president of the Chamber of Commerce in Baitadi. Sandeep Aur Pinky Farrar is slated to hit theatres in August, 2018.
