Task forces submit report incorporating suggestions to unify party by April 21


Apr 3, 2018-The two task forces jointly formed by CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Centre) to expedite the unification have submitted a report incorporating suggestions to merge the two parties by April 21.

According to CPN (Maoist Centre) leader DevendraPaudel, the task force formed to finalise interim political report and interim statute submitted the report during a meeting of Party Unification Coordination Committee (PUCC) held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Tuesday.  He said that the next meeting of PUCC will be held on Thursday.

During the meeting, Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli expressed his commitment to finalise the issue of party unification soon.

“I don’t care about what others say. We will finalise the party unification,” leader Paudel said quoting PM Oli.

The task force formed to finalise interim political report and interim statute is led by CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal and another task force formed to finalise the statue and organisational setting is led by Home Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Ram Bahadur Thapa.
