Mar 11, 2018-Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) senior orthopaedic surgeon Dr Govinda KC has said that he will not accept any verdict given by Chief Justice Gopal Prasad Parajuli.
Speaking after exiting the hearing on the contempt of court case against himself and Kantipur on Sunday, Dr KC said that he will now accept the verdict given by CJ Parajuli as it was against the principles of natural justice for the Chief Justice to head the seven-member full bench of the Supreme Court in a case involving himself.
“I will not accept any verdict given by the bench of which the Chief Justice is a member,” said Dr KC.
Likewise, Dr KC further said that CJ Parajuli should resign from the post saying that the Chief Justice himself had tarnished the image of the apex court. “Parajuli himself has offended the judiciary, justices and advocates,” he said, “That is why he should be removed from the post or an impeachment motion should be registered against him.”
Dr KC further accused the Chief Justice of working against the spirit of the constitution.
