PM Oli lays foundation for Manmohan Annex building
Mar 2, 2018-Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Friday laid the foundation for Manmohan Centre Annex Building at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu. The soon-to-be-constructed building is part of Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre.
Urging the health facilities to ensure quality health services to people, PM Oli underscored the need of quality services to operate medical colleges.
According to Dr Uttam Krishna Shrestha, Executive Director at the Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre, Manmohan Centre Annex building is being constructed in the 23 anna land on the hospital premises.
Though it was supposed to complete the construction within nine months, 40 beds will be expanded with other facilities. Among them, VVIP would be treated in the suit room.
Similarly, Hybrid Operation Theatre is also being constructed where cath procedure and surgey can be done at the same time.
The government will allocate Rs 300 million for the construction of the infrastructure, Dr Shrestha said.
