Mar 5, 2018-The first meeting of the federal parliament has endorsed the interim rules of procedure-2018 of the House of Representatives.
Similarly, the meeting has nominated the names of lawmakers who will chair the meeting in the absence of Speaker and Deputy-Speaker according to the interim rules of procedure -2018 of the House of Representatives.
The names of Khagraj Adhikari, Laxman Lal Karna and Uma Shankar Aragariya have been nominated to chair the parliament meeting.
The first session of the House of the Representatives (HoR) and the National Assembly (NA) was held today at the International Convention Centre after the newly elected federal parliament members took the oath of office on Sunday.
Likewise, the interim rules of procedure-2018 of the National Assembly (NA) was also endorsed today.
The meeting has nominated Parshuram Neghi Gurung, Radhe Shyam Adhikari and Kali Bahadur Malla to chair the upper house meeting in the absence of Chairman and Deputy Chairman.
Letters sent by the President were read out in both the meetings.
The meeting of both the assemblies has been summoned for 11 am tomorrow.
