28 houses destroyed in Humla fire


Mar 3, 2018-At least 28 houses were reduced to ashes when a fire broke out at the Gharbana Village in Tajakot Rural Municipality of Humla district on Friday.

It has been learnt that properties worth around Rs 1.5 million were destroyed in the fire that took place at around 10 pm yesterday.

According to the District Police Office, Humla, houses belonging to Hari Bahadur Rithayal, Dhanrup Rithyal, Manbir Rithayal and Mohan Rithayal among other persons were gutted in the fire.

Though no human casualties were reported in the incident, around 150 cattle were charred to death.

DSP Kamal Nepal of the District Police Office, Humla, said that further details about the fire is yet to come as the incident site is far from the district headquarters.

The fire was taken under control on Saturday morning
