Court orders to present petitioner in Krishna Pd Adhikari murder case
Feb 25, 2018-The Chitwan District Court on Sunday issued an order to present petitioner in the case relating to the murder of Krishna Prasad Adhikari of Fujel, Gorkha.
Chief Judge of the Court Kul Prasad Sharma issued the order to present petitioner Nur Prasad Adhikari for recording his statement. Earlier, the case had been postponed several times, and the date of hearing had been fixed for today.
The case of murder was filed by Krishna's father Nanda Prasad on 8 June 2004 at the District Police Office, Chitwan. And 18 months after it, Nur Prasad filed a complaint by naming 13 people for the act, which led the case to proceed ahead.
Of them, the District Court released seven on bail and four in general date. Two were yet to come to the contact of the Court, of which Rudra Acharya is reportedly living outside the country. Likewise, one of the accused Chabi Lal Poudel is absconding.
It may be noted that Krishna's father Nanda Prasad died in course of a hunger strike that he staged calling for action against the murderers of his son. Krishna's mother Ganga Maya is still continuing the hunger strike that she began together with her husband.
Krishna was allegedly murdered by then CPN-Maoist cadres on 6 June 2004, on the charging of spying against the then rebel party. Krishna had come to visit his grandparents from his home in Gorkha. RSS
