Nature Unwrapping at NAC
Dec 6, 2017-Since time immemorial, there has been a dialogue between nature and an artist, but societal transformation has influenced the way an artist interacts with nature. In line with which, Devina Art Promotion gathered ten artists for retreats in Lalitpur and Chitwan in mid-2016.
During the retreats, the group of artists worked on their craft and their work is being presented in an exhibition titled Nature Unwrapping. The exhibition is currently ongoing at Nepal Art Council, Babermahal.
The exhibit also features work by three more guest artists. Arpita Shakya, Bijay Koirala, Bijaya Maharjan, Niraj Chitrakar, Palpasa Manandhar, Prabin Shrestha, Rajan Pant, Saroj Bajracharya, Sunil Karki, UR Rimal are the artists who participated at the retreats, while Hari Prasad Sharma, Isabelle Malotaux, and Ngawang Chhiri Sherpa are the guest artists for the exhibition.
Despite the fact that the core group of artists was influenced by their time in the retreat, each of the artists have rendered their unique perspective on the canvas.
Curated by Saroj Bachracharya and Isabella Malotaux, the exhibition will continue till December 10.
